I LOVE YOU TOO! ❤️ To reciprocate the love New Barili has given us, a grand-scale medical mission and operation tuli was held for our beloved Barileans! Our love language being acts of service, we were able to cater close to a hundred individuals for the medical consultation, operation tuli, immunization (for children) and PCV vaccines (for our sweet seniors).
LOVE IS KIND. With the support of our Municipal Heath Officer Dr. Carmel Mathilda Ladeza, who have been championing our projects for the past 4 years, we were able to provide an equipped pharmacy for the dispensation of medicine, RBS, vaccines and surgical tools for the mission. LOVE KNOWS NO DISTANCE. Doctors drove all the way from different corners of the peninsula to offer their Magis medical services for the community. Dr. Juvylisa Asentista from Liloy, Atenean doctors Dr. Maryam Majid from Titay, Dr. Patricia Gail Escober from Ipil, Charlie Hernandez and Jessa Mayet Sumatra from Zamboanga City, and Krizzie Dejecacion and Lovely Villar from Lawaan. LOVE IS PATIENT. The efficient staff of the Tampilisan Rural Health Unit, endured the warmth and wave of the day to serve the people in New Barili. The genuine care of Maam Daisy Ochotorena, Maam Betsy Pearl Bulaqueña, Maam Gemma Larato, Miss Maricris Lagare, Miss Lucia Bago, Miss Lizelle Ejan, Miss Rose Faeldin, Sir Earvin Bato and Miss Frejah Timonera. LOVE IS CARING. The turn-out of the event is a reflection of the leadership shown by the New Barili Barangay Council. From Hon. Melecia Pardo to every single one of the seven Barangay Councillors, who, for 4 years, have never been short of care for their community. LOVE IS SWEET. And the recipient of our devoted love, our dearest sweet New Barili. You deserve only the best!

YOU RAN, WE REHABILITATED! To every one who ran with us during the #TampiHeartRun2018, this is where your humble 20 pesos went. The effective rehabilitation of the New Barili Barangay Health Station. Now, brighter and couple- & mother-friendlier! We also launched the Barili Health Map strategically situated inside our BHS where we can operatively locate hypertensives, pregnant mothers, family planning users, underweight children, and houses still in need of toilet facilities and waste segregation. This installation was designed to help health workers provide ultra-efficient health services to the individuals and households in New Barili. The newly rehabilitated BHS also features specific service corners for children, pregnant mothers, family planning users, hypertensives and general health services. The rehabilitation would not be possible without the active community involvement of New Barili. They voluntarily gave their time and services in building the council-funded comfort room. They donated curtains and plants while our BHWs kept the structure tidy. The Tampilisan Rural Health Unit under Dr. Carmel Mathilda Ladeza has continuously supplied the medications and our Nurse Miss Maricris Lagare, our midwife Miss Daisy Ochotorena and our public health nurse Miss Betsy Bulaqueña have ceaselessly provided the much needed health services. To everyone who ran with us and are still running with us, THANK YOU. #CommunityInvolvement New Barili in coordination with the Rural Health Unit of Tampilisan celebrates "WORLD IMMUNIZATION WEEK"! Since the advent of vaccination, infant mortaliy rate, among others, have gone down by a significant rate. Vaccinations save over 2-3 million lives every year around the world. #VaccinesWork 💉👍🏻 🌎
Mothers from New Barili along with their children came to receive various vaccines included in the EPI program of the DOH. At the same time, additional NB nutricard were given to monitor the weight of all children 5 years and below. Also recognizing the inclusion of EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING in the 1st 1000 DAYS of a child, TEAM NB continued the tracking of exclusively breastfeeding mothers in the community. This can be realized and made sustainable thanks to the tireless effort of the Rural Health Unit, our very energetic NDP Ma’am Mary Cris Lagare and forever active BHWs Ma’am Maricel and Ma’am Alice. This #WorldImmunizationWeek, help us spread the word: #VaccinesWork! 💉👍🏻 🌎 PS: Photos taken and posted with permission. Clean and Green is the way to go. Last March 2018, Team NB in partnership with the barangay council and with the support of the residents of New Barili, launched the “Sack-for-Junk Project” where a total of 600 sacks were distributed to 200 households in the barangay with the aim of promoting waste segregation at source. 3 sacks labeled Residuals, Recyclables and Special Waste were given to each household along with flyers on waste segregation.
Today, after house-to-house survey we are humbled to see that the residents of New Barili have put to good use what we all have worked for. Here are some of the pictures taken during the survey. Together we can make things happen and together we will be working for a cleaner and healthier New Barili. SECOND ROUND! 🥊 Fighting malnutrition one seed at a time! Improving accessibility of children to healthy and nutritious food through assisting families in cultivating and planting their very own bountiful garden with complete food groups. The community headed by the parent leaders are actively cultivating the community garden. This is the second round of planting seeds after the initial but multiple harvests that provided raw ingredients in the feeding of children in the daycare center and for every willing household in New Barili. The harvest was so bountiful that the extra organic vegetables were sold to the local market by the community members. A garden headed, planted, tended, and harvested by the community! Talk about major community involvement! How encouraging to witness such a self-reliant New Barili! #CommunityInvolvement #SelfReliantNewBarili #Organic
